PICTORIAL: Rehabilitation Works Progress on the 55-Kilometre Nsipe–Liwonde Road

PICTORIAL Rehabilitation works on the 55-kilometer Nsipe–Liwonde Road are progressing well with construction activities continuing on several sections of the road. 

Construction works currently include road clearing, sub-base and base construction, asphalt surfacing, and drainage works. So far, more than 30 kilometers of clearing, over 20 kilometers of sub-base, over 15 kilometers of base, and more than 7 kilometers of asphalt surfacing have been completed.
 
Progress has also been recorded on drainage works, with 41 culverts completed between 30km and 55km. The drainage structures are part of the works aimed at improving water management along the road and protecting the infrastructure from water-related damage.
